Hi, I'm Justine Rosen, founder of Your Success Coaching. And I'm thrilled you're here!

Having spent over 20 years in leadership positions in varying guises and industries around the world, it's taken me this long (with several steep learning curves along the way) to understand that effective leadership begins with knowing ourselves. As Artistotle famously said "Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom". Becuase when we know and understand ourselves - our strengths, what we believe and how this translates into our attitudes and actions, then, and only then, can we begin to get comfortable who we are, how we think and finally understand why we do what we do, the way that we do it. Phew! Finally!

 

Why don't they teach us this stuff when we get promoted to a new leadership role, you may rightly ask? My thoughts exactly. It took being made redundant, almost having to leave Australia and uproot my whole life and a whole lot of psychological angst along the way to finally, finally realise that the results I was getting were actually all my responsibility. No one to blame. No fingers to point. No resentment or sense of entitlement. It was all down to me. How I was being. What I was thinking. And how this translated into my actions. Lightbulb is an understatement. (And if you're reading this, thinking, "She doesn't understand my situation, if she only knew, she wouldn't be writing this, blah blah blah etc etc)... then you're exactly where you need to be right now, reading this! Trust me. I was exactly where you are now, about 4 years ago. And boy oh boy, do I wish I had had someone like me to pull the wool from eyes so I could actually see what I was doing. It would have saved me a whole lot of grief, bashing my head against a brickwall, physical and emotiona bruises and my confidence so shattered, all I felt I was capable of doing was hide under a rock, waiting until it passed.

 

Taking all my learnings about how and how not to lead a team successfully, I now help ambitious leaders access their true potential to create significant, positive changes. In work and in life. My mission is to help you NOT make the same mistakes I made for decades. And instead, help you access all your innate strengths, understand where your gaps are and help you figure out how to lead in a way that's aligned with your values. Becuase, let's face it, if you're not aligned, you're flogging a dead horse and leadership is no fun at all.  Anyone can follow a job description and do their best to hit their KPIs. They're not leaders, they're managers. BIG difference. Anyone can manage. And most, sadly, do so pretty poorly. I reckon you could rattle off a string of bad managers you've had over the years. But it takes specific skills and advanced insights to learn how to lead and inspire. And that's where working together helps you unlock your skills and create brilliance. And the best thing of all, you don't just get to learn how to lead yourself effectively, but how to inspire your team too. So everyone wins. Now isn't that what work should be like, considering we spend the best part of 90,000 hours, or a third of our lives at work?!​

We begin with an assessment of your journey so far, the experiences that have shaped who you've become today and then look at your natural powerhouse attributes that distinguish you from others. By harnessing these strengths, identifying your areas that are a bit sucky and unlocking the insights that will allow you to let go of what's been holding you back, your self-knowledge and confidence skyrocket, you learn to get comfortable with who you are and then use your new superskills to bring out the best in your team.
